In the third of night

Like it’s dark, night store so much secret, not only in his immortal sowing stars ; the places where some people take them as their guide, looking for the direction in land or seas. The day, properly, gives us so much “living”. But, honestly, night it is… that give us the “life”. A pinch of rice, a swallow of water, a sheet of money, and also the prestige, are our humanity hunt in the day light. And with that we can get living –even part of them sometime we hunt by dirty/wrong way.

But, honestly –once again- night give us the life. In peace of night, or in it’s sincere quite. When there is no swishing of wind and wave of leaves, there is the best moment to take a rest, like Qoran said :

He it is who has made the night for your rest and the day to see. Surely, in this there are signs for people who listen (10 : 67).

Then, night, is the time that we can get all the energy of material and spirityual. When all the wearies of the day spilled in silent, when every soul close their eyes. Forget all the books, all the waeries, all the prestiges, just we and HIM. Night is adornment, sign of might, and all at once it’s the clothes for us.

“and We made your sleep a rest, and We made the night a mantle, and We made the day for a livelihood.” (78 : 9-11)

But the secret of night, for the faithful, doesn’t stop at the source of material life energy, with the sleep well or long rest. The secret is about how “a life” take the source of His mighty power source, the source of right, original, and great. Again.. it’s in a part of night.

Yes, coz at the 1/3 at the end of night, Allah “goes down” to the sky of earth, then give a chance to us for asking, praying and complaint to Him, in a pure of loneliness. Just we and Him. Our prophet said : “Allah goes down in every night to the sky of earth, when night left at 1/3 of the end. HE said “is there anyone who pray to me so I can granted, is there anyone who ask to me so I can give, is there anyone who ask for the forgivness so I can forgive”. (narratived by Bukhori-Muslim).

Here is the secret. In a third end of night. It’s the life. Is there a better life then we hope to our almighty and He granted it, asking and then He give it, and apologize for all our sins then get His forgiveness… is there a better ?. Take the meaning of night in this side will give us the unlimitted space for complaint, and with so guaranteed certainty.

Our prophet Said : “The nearest time for Allah and His servant is in the third of night, then, if you can say His name and remember Him in that time, just do it “ (narratived by Tirmidzi)

And Qoran said : “Indeed, the first part of night is heavier in tread, and more upright in speech” (73: 6)

So, this time is so sacred in our bilieveness. Can be substituted and really..really different. Not long…. But can left the strong traces. There…we’ll find the secret, power, and source of “life”. And this secret can’t be felt unless being tried and tried. This is the “real world” among the ocean dreams of people who sleep till morning comes. Someone who can honest to his self in this time when he/she “face to face” with God, never…and never hope he/she can honest in another time.
